Drinking Waterfall

What Is Waterfall?:

How do you “play” waterfall??? You technically don’t… waterfall isn’t exactly a game in itself. It’s generally played while playing another game like kings cup. The game involves players arranged in a circle. Generally whoever initials the game is on top of the waterfall. Everyone drinks at the same time and each person can’t stop until the person before them stops. For example, the person who starts the water fall needs to finish before the next person can stop chugging. The person after (third person) can’t stop until the first and second are done drinking, and so on… The picture above kind of shows how it works.

Getting Started:

You’ll need a full deck of cards and a minimum of 4 players (total players need to be an even number).

Divide the players up into two even teams and gather around a table in a circle. Just like actual hockey, the drinking game hockey consists of 3 periods.  For each period assign a dealer and deal out the entire deck of cards. The person with the 4 of clubs starts off. The game flows clockwise.

Layout of the drinking game Hockey.

How to play:

The object of the game is to score the most points. Play begins with the person with the 4 of clubs and play flows clockwise. The starting player lays down their 4 of clubs face up in the middle of the table. The next person must try and lay the same card (a 4) in order to score a point. If/when the player lays the same card as the person before laid, then the team the player is on that laid the matching card gets a point and the cards are cleared. The only special in game cards are Jacks. Jacks are safe cards and cannot be scored on (your opponent can’t lay another jack on top)

Example of how to play:

  • Team 1: Player(1) lays 4 of clubs
  • Team 2: Player(2) lays 5 of diamonds
  • Team 1: Player(3) lays 5 of clubs – Team 1 gets a point for playing matching card, cards get cleared. Team 2 drinks.
  • Team 2: Player(4) lays 7 of spades
  • Team 1: Player(1) lays 7 of hearts – Team 1 gets a point for playing matching card, cards get cleared. Team 2 drinks. The score is now 2-0.
  • Team 2: Player(2) lays jack of spades
  • Team 1: Player(3) lays 3 of diamonds (can’t lay a jack)
  • Team 2: Player(4) lays 3 of spades – Team 2 gets a point for playing matching card, cards get cleared. Team 1 drinks. The score is now 2-1
  • ect…

Special Cards:

All Four Cards

Club of Fours

Whoever has the four of clubs starts.

All Three Cards

Jacks – Safe cards

Jacks’s are safe cards. When a player plays a Jack the next player cannot play a safe card. The safe cards prevents the next player from scoring on you.

Suck Me – The Card game:

As dirty as the name sounds, nothing is literally being “sucked on” (sadly). Instead the general idea of the game is to pass a card around in a circle using only your lips to hold it up (by sucking).
Suck the card
How it works:

  • Start by shuffling a full deck of cards
  • Have everyone sit in a circle and place the deck of cards in the middle
  • First person picks up a card from the middle, places it against their lips and sucks in
  • Now that person turns to the person on their left and must pass it off to them
  • Do this by having that person also place their lips against the card and suck so the card sticks to their lips
  • This continues until someone drops the card
  • if a card is dropped both people involved in the exchange must drink the amount on the card
  • This continues until someone drops the card

Pyramid General Gameplay:

Pyramid AKA Beeramid (Beer-a-mid) is a card game that is commonly used as a drinking game.the only requirement is 1 standard deck of playing cards.
Setup:One player begins by creating a pyramid of cards (see below picture). Place the cards face down on the table in rows (6 cards on the bottom row, 5 on the next, then 4, 3, 2, and with a 1 card peak on the top row). Next, the dealer passes out three cards to each player (face down). You can look at your cards only once and DO NOT let other players see them.

Card Pyramid

  • Start out by turning over the bottom left card.
  • Whichever player has a card with the same number as the card flipped can tell another player to take the drink
  • Players can pretend to have the card and “bluff” to give out drinks.
  • The player told to drink take the designated drink(s) or call the bluff.
  • If a player’s bluff is called, that player must drink double the designated drinks.
  • If the player was not bluffing (he must prove it by flipping over his card), the player originally told to drink now has to drink double the designated drinks.
  • A player who is forced to show his/her cards to is entitled to switch out the card with a new card from the deck.
  • After the drinks have been taken you go on to the next card.
  • If no one claims to have the card number you go on to the next card.
  • After the bottom row is all flipped, continue on the next row.
  • The number of drinks corresponds to the row in which that card was flipped.Bottom row is one, second row is two, ect…
  • players can only look at their card once, then lie their cards face down and remember them their positions.
  • If someone says the player is bluffing, the player has to find his card – taking out the wrong card results in a penalty where the player must drink twice the amount he would otherwise have dealt.

Objective:

The object of the game is to make other players drink. What they drink is based on what cards that they think you have.
